Selenium WebDriver has been around for some time now and has a loyal user base in the QA industry. TestCafe is newer, with better features. However, where Selenium WebDriver is flexible and supports all the main programming languages, TestCafe supports only Javascript. But, it is self-sufficient as far as mobile app testing goes, whereas Selenium WebDriver needs to work with Appium or Selendroidd if you want to test your mobile apps. I recommend this interesting article that I read recently.

I prefer Selenium WebDriver software test automation tool, which has gained the added benefit of being able to write tests in a number of programming languages... Apart from this Selenium also provides the facility to both record and playback, for authoring tests without the user having to learn a test scripting language

Well, my vote always goes for Selenium. Selenium has started with the base of test automation. Your comparison was pretty well. But, though it helped the tools like TestingWhiz for being codeless with more than 290 test commands, it has been my most preferred software test automation tool.

Here is one more comparision of various testing automation tools that might help you more to decide.

Among Selenium and Test Cafe, I would like to prefer Selenium as an automation testing framework. But further, apart from these tools, I would like to prefer using TestingWhiz. This is a code-less test automation tool, which makes this tool more easy to learn as well as user friendly. This tool provides multiple testing solutions related to web, database, mobile like web test automation, web services testing, automated database testing, automated mobile testing, etc.

SAF is a customized framework developed using Selenium, a widely accepted web application automation tool.

I think selenium is best.It shrinks test cycle times and related costs. Selenium is a portable software testing framework for web applications. The tests can be written as HTML tables or coded in a number of popular programming languages.

They can be run directly in most modern web browsers. Selenium can be deployed on Windows, Linux and Macintosh.

A test automation framework is a set of concepts, and practices that provide support for automated software testing. It is a methodology built to successfully carry out test automation. If we do not have any frameworks, then it is difficult to get proper reports, handle checkpoints, or exception handling.

I prefer TestCafe since it became open-source. I work with node.js and TestCafe is nice for my development workflow

I used selenium for some time but then faced some issues regarding modifications and managements of the tests. Also, reports generated by selenium were plain. Then I came across a tool Web Test by AppPerfect which is free to use with very easy installation and use. I have been using it since then.

Hi, I would prefer Selenium. I think so far Selenium is better because the language used for building the program is independent of the language that the web application or website is using. So test script can be developed in any of the languages that Selenium supports. Selenium supports multiple languages such as Python, Pearl, Ruby, PHP, .NET (C#) and Java. Also, it is possible to execute simultaneous tests leveraging various browsers on various machines. This is turn cuts down the time for test execution when a large project is in progress.

TestCafe is new to automation tools but with enhanced features. However, it only supports one programming language that is JavaScript, whereas Selenium supports all the main programming languages such as Python, PHP or Ruby, etc. which becomes a flexible automation tool for multiple users. That is why I also prefer Selenium for automation testing.

I would prefer selenium, Selenium is a leading test automation framework that is portable and is used for testing web applications. This tool provides a record and playback feature for authoring functional tests.

This end-to-end testing framework helps to configure test suites by combining various automated tests and makes them available for effective execution.

With so many years in business, I would like to raise my vote for selenium. Selenium is not only easy to use and user-friendly kind of tool but the best thing is the large community of testers available to assist you with all your test requirements. Whether it is a simple website or a mobile application, selenium’s open-source nature allows you to rule the web with highly reliable and immediate responses from the tester’s community.

Besides, Test Café is also a good option available for testers who have specific requirements. But if you need to have the advantage of multiple language support on multiple browsers where you need to run your solution, there is no other option better than selenium.
